Situation:

Kinetic Australia has maintained a presence at the Birla Nifty mine site since 2006, commissioning new gas turbine installations and operating and maintaining the Birla Nifty Mine Site power station since mid 2007.

Result:

Increased reliability and availability of resources in excess of 99%.

Case Study 2

Situation:

Kinetic Australia has been actively involved in the fixed plant shutdowns at Murrin Murrin Nickel Mine for Minara Resources from 2004 to 2010.

Scope of Work:

• Repair and maintenance
• Mechanical supervision of fitters
• Supervision of complete shutdowns, including scheduling.

Result:

• Increase in the safety culture of the workforce with less than 4 incidents over 12 months and 50,000 man hours in a high risk environment
• More efficient use of resources
• Higher standard of workmanship leading to a cleaner return to service of equipment following shutdown
• Successful shutdown plan lasting 7 weeks and costing in excess of $4m.
